Pursuant to the Governor's Executive Order S-13-09, beginning in July 2009, the Board office will be closed on Fridays as follows: July 2009: July 10th, 17th, and 24th. August 2009 thru June 30, 2010: The first, second, and third Friday of each month.
Exam candidates may continue to schedule their examinations during this time. However, if the exam is schedule on a date that the Board office is closed, please note that Board staff will be unavailable to assist candidates on the closure dates.
California Board of Behavioral Sciences
The BBS is responsible for consumer protection through the regulation of Marriage and Family Therapists (MFT); Licensed Clinical Social Workers (LCSW); Licensed Educational Psychologists (LEP); MFT Interns; and Associate Clinical Social Workers (ASW) in the State of California. It is one of the boards within the California Department of Consumer Affairs.
